An Enchanted Christmas at Johnstown Castle!
We invite you to be a part of something really special this Christmas at our enchanted Johnstown Castle in Wexford.
On this traditional experience, all of our guests will enjoy festive activities with our team of merry elves inside the fairytale castle. There will be 3 groups per time slot but each group will enjoy time with Santa Claus individually and the children will join Santas elves in the magical workshop and get the chance to choose their very own Christmas gift.
There will be plenty of seasonal photo opportunities in the Castle – so don’t forget to bring your camera!
Pre-Booking is essential.
IMPORTANT: Your booking time is your time slot to start your experience, NOT your check in time. Arrive 20 minutes before your allocated time to check in at reception, allow for use of facilities and to walk to the castle (5 - 10-minute walk from reception).
You will make your way over to the castle on foot so please ensure appropriate outerwear. Should anyone in your group require assistance in getting to the castle please contact us in advance of the day of the booking to arrange.
Prices:
- Adults - starting at €15.00 per adult.
- Children - starting at €25.00 per child.
- Infants under 1 Year – €12.00 per infant
Note: Annual membership holders are entitled to a 10% discount. If you have not received the discount code by email, please contact reception.
Do not book without the code as the code cannot be applied after purchase.
A booking fee of €1.95 will be added to each booking.
In the booking process, Santa will require the following information:
- Child's name
- Child's age at time of visit, not at the time of booking
- Gender

- Friday 15th - Sunday 17th December
- Monday 18th - Saturday 23rd December
Santa Experience Times
- Our Santas experience begins at 10:00 am, with last slot at 7:00pm. (weekends only, plus Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd December).
- Weekdays - Our Santa experiences begins at 4pm, with the last slot at 7.00pm.
- Each experience inside the Castle will last approximately 45 minutes. Please allow for more than one hour per visit to enjoy tea/coffee and hot chocolate in our café, either afterwards of before.
Tour Details
- Each timeslot will have a maximum of 3 family groups.
- The story and interactive elements throughout the experience will be the same for all.
- Upon the completion of the main story, each family will visit Santa individually.
- After meeting Santa, your family will head downstairs to the elves’ workshop to choose their gift.
- Upon completion of your Santa visit, enjoy a hot beverage in our peacock café.
The Visitor Centre, Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum and Gardens, Oldtown Ln, Johnstown, Co. Wexford, Y35 HP22.
- The confirmation email on your mobile phone.
- If you prefer, a paper copy of the voucher can be printed by clicking the link on your confirmation email.
- Please arrive to visitor centre 20 minutes prior to booking time to allow for check-in.
- A Santa letter if your child wishes to give it to Santa personally.
Each Ticket includes:
- Guided Theatrical Experience through our beautifully decorated Christmas Castle.
- An Indivdual family meeting with Santa.
- A chance to hand pick a gift for each child.
- Hot Beverage inlcuded (Hot chocolate for kids. Americano or Tea for Adults).
- The opportuinty for plenty of photographs.

- We ask that you check in no later than 20 minutes before your booking time to allow time to make your way to the Castle.
- The Castle is fully wheelchair/buggy accessible.
- We would ask that you notify us in advance of any special assistance you may require by emailing info@johnstowncastle.ie
- Each guided slot has limited capacity for the safety and enjoyment of our guests.
- Every family will visit Santa individually.
- Only those on the booking confirmation may enter the Castle.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Buggies are permitted as part of this experience if required, however, we do provide secure storage at the check in.
- Our Christmas Experience will take an estimated 45 mins.
- Dress appropriately for the weather on the day, as the Castle is a 5 minute walk from the visitor centre check in.
Terms and Conditions:
- All children must be accompanied by an adult 18+.
- Tickets for this event are non-refundable and not for re-sale by third parties.
- Please take careful note of your date and time booked, as your event is a while away and it's easy to forget or mix up dates.
- Please be aware that if you miss your time or day we may not be able to accommodate you at an alternative time.
- The service is not free, you will be charged for using it, we do have a booking of €1.95 per transaction
Changes to a Service:
In exceptional circumstances it may be necessary at times to change the details or itinerary of the event or of a Booking. The Company reserves the right to make reasonable alterations to any Booking made. In that event the Company will inform the Customer as soon as reasonably possible. This does not affect your statutory rights.
